Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

Dear Friends,

 This week I am sending you two instalments of the Couple Prayer and Newsletter insert for the next two weeks. I will be going to Donegal on Friday until Sunday July 25^th and may not be able to send you the one for Ordinary 17 from there – you just never know!! So I am doing that now to be sure.

 Even though I will be on holidays there, I will still be praying for you each day that God may bless you and all those you love. May God keep you and all of us safe through the next weeks and months. Please continue to pray for me and for one another. Thank you.

 Attached you will find my input for the Couple Prayer and Newsletter piece for next Sunday and the week following it. I hope you will find it helpful for yourselves in your love for each other and in your life of faith. The challenge in God’s Word is to look at the limits we set, either consciously or otherwise, to living the great gifts we have been given by God for our own happiness and for the good of the world around us in family and community.

 You will be in my prayers as always during this time. I thank God for you and ask God to bless you and all those you love. May God keep us all safe during this time as everyone tries to return to a more normal life and yet the virus is still with us!! Thank you for your prayers for me. Please continue to pray for me and for one another.

Hej allihopa,

Tyvärr har jag gjort bort mig den här veckan.  Jag har nämligen missat min bönedag den 8 juli.  Det var när mitt barnbarn Aili frågade mig den 9 juli  "när blir det den 10 juli" som jag kom på det. Hon skulle se sista avsnittet av en Bolibompaserie som gick på TV den 10 juli. Jag är ledsen att jag glömde bönedagen men Fr. Johnny har sagt att om vi glömmer bort dagen är det ingen idé att skämmas och att absolut inte ge upp. Jag vill inte komma med ursäkter men jag ska göra det så snart jag kan.

 Attached is my input for the Couple Prayer and Newsletter piece for next Sunday and the week following. The great challenge and need is for us to treasure those who are closest to us. This is especially true for a couple in marriage; for parents and children in their family; and also those who belong to each other in a parish or other faith community. it is also difficult because we can so easily take each other for granted which is a bad way to be!!

 You will be in my prayers every day of the week ahead as always. May God bless you and all of us with an attitude of gratitude and an openness to bring life to each other and to the Church that we are.

Hej allihopa,

Veckorna försvinner och här kommer Fr. Johnny´s brev igen.  Bland annat säger han till oss: "One of the mistakes we easily and often make is to think that what we see is all there is to see, what we know is all there is to know.  Ett misstag som vi  lätt och ofta gör är att tro att vad vi ser är allt som finns att se, vad vi vet är allt som finns att veta.”  Resten finns i brevet.

Det handlar om att be den 26 i varje månad för familjer fram till den 26 juni 2022 när "The World Meeting of Families” äger rum i Rom.

Som St Johannes Paulus II har sagt "Mänsklighetens framtid ligger i familjens händer.” Hoppas många deltar som en församling eller som individer.

Jesus mission was to heal and teach and non-acceptance would not stop him.  Our own acceptance and welcome of his message and love in our lives will lead to great meaning and joy. Jesus mission var att hela och  undervisa och att inte bli accepterad hindrade inte Honom. Vårt eget accepterande av Hans budskap och kärlek i våra liv kommer att leda till stor mening och glädje.  En del av en reflektion från Fr. Donal Neary S.J.

Hoppas att ni mår bra. Det är en glädje att kunna träffa barn och barnbarn igen.
