Fr Johnny säger bland annat till oss idag: vad är viktigt är "love of God with our whole hearts so that we can know where we come from and where we are going, and love for one another so that we can know the true joy of journeying through this life - att älska Gud med hela vårt hjärta så att vi kan veta var vi kommer ifrån och vart vi är på väg, och kärlek till varandra så att vi kan känna den äkta glädjen av att färdas genom detta liv."
In showing God´s response to prayer, Jesus helps us to understand prayer itself. To pray is not to impose our will on God but to ask him to make us open to his will. To pray is not to want to change God but to ask him to change us. For the second petition of the Lord´s prayer, "Your kingdom come" a very ancient variant substitutes "May your spirit come upon us and purify us". När han visar Guds svar på bön, hjälper oss Jesus att förstå själva bönen. Att be är inte att tvinga vår vilja på Gud. Att be är inte att önska ändra Gud men att be att Han ändrar oss. När det gäller den andra delen av Herrens Bön "Tillkomme ditt rike" finns en mycket gammal version "Må Din Ande komma ner över oss och rena oss". Meditation på ett söndagsblad.
Maria som hade sin livmoder bortopererad för några veckor sedan har hört av sig. Hon är cancerfri och har inge behov av kemo. Hon får läkarundersökning var tredje månad. Hon skriver "I´m so happy and I´m so blessed. He promised to heal me and He keeps his word. John 11.4 Thanks for all you prayers. God bless you all. Jag är så lycklig och jag är så välsignad. Han lovade att hela mig och Han håller sitt ord. Johannes 11.4. Herre, Du som är källan till allt liv. Tack för Din omsorg om Maria och för hennes tillit till Dig. Hjälp henne att ta det lugnt ett tag så att såret får den tid det behöver att läka. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig. "Den sjukdomen leder inte till döden utan skall visa Guds härlighet, så att Guds son blir förhärligad genom den." Johannes 11.4.

Dear Friends,
Thank
you for your prayers last week. They were so important to me. We had a
traumatic week with the very sudden death of Fr. Phil Dunlea. Thank
God we had a wonderful funeral for him in the company of his family and
his many friends. Mixed in with this sadness I also had the joy of the
wedding of Caoimhe and Tom on Thursday. It was a great privilege to be
with them on their special day. Please continue to pray for them that
their marriage will be everything and more of what they look forward to.
Attached
is my input for next week. Again it is a very challenging Word of God
but such a vital one for all of us. It is such a pleasure for me to be
on this journey of faith with you and to know that there are such great
couples working at building their marriages through this programme and
in so many other ways. Thank you for the encouragement you give me.
Please
continue to pray for me each week. You are in my prayers every day.
May God bless you and all your loved ones with joy and gladness each day
of your lives.
