Veckobrev The Ascension
Dear Friends,
Thank you for your love and your faith this past week again. You have been in my prayers as always that God may bless your love for one another and keep it fresh and alive. Attached is my input for next Sunday and the week following that. The theme of this week is the joy and hope that Christ’s ascension into heaven brings to us and to the whole Church.
It is a call to all of us to make those qualities shine out to one another and to the world in which we live. We are now in the process of opening up again even though the pandemic is still not over. We do it with caution and maybe with a bit of anxiety. But the joy and hope that Christ brings can still overcome these anxieties and help us to make our homes and families and faith communities ring with gladness.
You will be in my prayers again in the coming week. May God be with you in every way you need to keep you safe and well. And may God bless your family and all those you love.

Vi har nyss firat Kristi Himmelsfärdsdag och P. Johnny skriver
bland annat: Today´s feast of joy and gladness is a call to us
to look up with confidence and know the power of Christ for the
world in which we live. Dagens fest av glädje är ett rop för oss
att titta upp med förtröstan och känna Kristi kraft för världen
vi lever i. Resten finns i brevet.
Idag firade Fr. Roshan Mässan i Kanada. Namnet Roshan betyder "Ljus". Han sade "Whatever we ask in the name of Jesus, we are sure to receive. When we profess our faith in the name of Jesus, Jesus grants us all the blessings we need. Vad än vi ber i Jesu namn är vi säkra på att få. När vi uttrycker vår tro i Jesu namn, ger oss Jesus alla välsignelser som vi behöver.” Jesus låt oss aldrig glömma det. Jesus Heliga Hjärta vi litar på Dig.
Jesus said "the work you gave me is finished. But the gospel
around Ascension time shows that it is not finished. He will be
with us all days, still helping, consoling and the centre of our
faith community. We are constantly in his thoughts and prayers,
the one who is our lifelong companion. Jesus sade "arbetet Du
gav mig är avslutat. Men evangeliet runt Kristihimmelsfärds tid
visar att det inte är slut. Han kommer att vara med oss alla
dagar, fortfarande hjälpande, tröstande och centrum av vår tros
kommunitet. Vi är alltid i hans tankar och böner, Han som är vår

Gloria önskar bön för en 34 år gammal kvinna som är diagnostiserad med allvarlig magtarmscancer där diagnosen inte är så bra. Vi får be för henne och hennes familj under denna svåra tid. Herre vi överlämnar kvinnan i dina heliga händer. Du vet hur svårt det är att få en sådan diagnos. Var med henne Herre. Lindra hennes och hela familjens oro. Låt din Ande inspirera läkaren och alla som tar hand om henne. Hela henne till kropp och själ. Låt henne vara mottaglig för all mänsklig och andlig hjälp det finns att få. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Rörelsernas Pingst: Mässa med kardinalen 22 maj kl 17.00
I år firar biskop Anders Arborelius mässan med oss i Domkyrkan kl 17.00 den 22 maj. Mässan streamas i vanlig ordning via Domkyrkans internet-kanal.
Come Holy Spirit, Fill the Hearts of Thy Faithful and with the birth of Jesus kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Thy Spirit and we shall be created and You will renew the face of the earth. Kom Helige Ande, fyll dina trognas hjärtan och med Jesus födelse tänd i dem Din kärleks eld. Sänd ut Din Ande och vi skall bli väckta och Du skall förnya jordens ansikte.
