Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

Dear Friends,

 I pray for you every day that God may bless you and keep you safe through this time of ongoing pandemic. On the one hand things are looking good as we gradually and slowly open up from the lockdown. But then on the other hand we look at the awful tragedy that is taking place in India and you would almost despair. Pope Francis asks us to make the month of May a month of intense prayer for the end to the pandemic so let us join our prayer with his for these next few weeks.

 In the Gospel for next Sunday Christ states clearly what our task has to be as his followers – to bear much fruit for God’s kingdom. We do this through our commitment to love as fully as we can each day especially in our homes and families and marriages. I will be praying for you that you will enjoy your life together and let the joy shine through for all to see.

 Thank you for your love and kindness. Please continue to pray for me and for one another. May God bless us all.

Hej allihopa,

Som ni vet sedan pandemin började har jag nästan dagligen deltagit i Mässan på dailytvmass.com.  Det finns så mycket andlig spis att få därifrån. Idag är det Heliga Josef Arbetarens festdag. Msg. Sam Bianco höll en intressant reflektion.  Jesus lärde sig snickeriet från sin far. Sedan  i sin undervisning använde han ofta terminologi från snickeriet e.g. byggstenar, hörnsten osv.  Jag hade aldrig tänkt på detta men förstås Jesus var en människa och, liksom oss lärde han sig av sina föräldrar. 

Vidare sade P. Bianco "The Dignity of Work of St. Josef is not just based on patriarchy. We learn from those who were the leaders how  to do things and then it becomes a relationship. Jesus treated women with such grace, equality and dignity and a large part of that came from his father. Jesus was in a relationship with his father and the father and Jesus were in a relationship with God and together all these fathers work to build the Kingdom of God.”  Heliga Josefs dignitet är inte bara grundad på patriarkat.  Ledaren visar oss hur vi ska göra saker och sedan blir det en relation.  Jesus behandlade kvinnor med sådana grace, jämlikhet och dignitet och en stor del av detta kom från hans fader.  Jesus var i en relation med sin fader och fadern och sonen var i en relation med Gud och tillsammans arbetar dessa fäder för att bygga Guds rike.  Heliga Josef be för oss.

Den här veckan skriver P. Johnny bland annat: "Jesus reveals God´s faith in us, and the trust he puts in us to show his love to the world in which we live.” Jesus visar vilken tillit Gud har till oss och den tilltro han ger oss för att visa hans kärlek till den värld vi lever i.

Bön önskas för en man som har genomgått en stor canceroperation.  Undersökningen efter operationen visar att det kan ha spridit sig.  De kommer att kolla det snarast.  Herre, vi överlämnar mannen och hans familj till Dig. Hela mannen till kropp och själ. Var med hela familjen. Vi ber att du lindrar mannens och hans familjs oro. Ge dem och låt dem vara mottagliga för det stöd som behövs.  Må din vilja ske.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
