Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

Dear Friends,

 The Easter season has now ended with the Feast of Pentecost. It has been a long season of celebration and thanksgiving and praise and also of joy. Now we enter into what is called Ordinary Time. I like to think of this as a time to live all that we have received in the ordinary everyday things of our lives – in marriage and family life and in all the important things of our lives.

 We begin this new season by celebrating the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. This highlights for us God as revealed to us by Jesus Christ – God who loves us and cares for us like a parent and a lover. God is one who wants everyone to know how special they are to his heart. God is also one who is three persons of Father, Son and Holy Spirit bringing power into our lives and our world, the power of love.

 I hope you will find the attached input helpful for yourselves in your journey of faith and also in your journey of love. You will be in my prayers in the week ahead. Please continue to pray for me and for one another. May God keep all of us close to his heart and safe from all harm.

Hej allihopa,

En vecka till har gått förbi och imorgon är det Treenighets Söndag och värmen har kommit. Jag älskar den här årstiden när allting börjar leva igen i naturen i samklang med Gud.

St Ignatius says that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit looked  down and saw us wandering away from the truth, needing  love and comfort in our lives, people on the wrong road to happiness, and they saw people mistreating each other, so they sent their son with their message of love.  In the humanity of Jesus, the divine and the human unite in a very real way.   When we make the sign of the cross in the name of the Trinity, we remember Father Son and Holy Spirit, close to us from morning till night.  P. Helige Ignatius säger att Fadern, Sonen och den Heliga Anden såg ner på oss som vandrade bort från sanningen, i behov av kärlek och  tröst i våra liv, människor på fel väg till glädje, och de såg att människor misshandlade varandra, så de skickade deras son med deras meddelande av kärlek. I Jesus människoblivande förenas det gudomliga och det mänskliga på ett väldigt verkligt sätt.  När vi gör korstecknet i  Treenenighetens tecknen, kommer vi ihåg att Fadern, Sonen och den Heliga Anden är med oss från morgon till kvällen. Herre, vi ber att du vänder allt som är dåligt i våra liv och i världens liv åt rätt håll.  Vaka över världens barn och ungdomar och låt dem inte gå igenom livet utan att känna sig älskade av andra och av Dig.  Hjälp dem att hitta sina gåvor och att kunna ge dem vidare. Vi ber att få flera visa andliga och mänskliga ledare ledd av Din Ande.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Den här veckan skriver P. Johnny till oss: "Know that I am with you, yes, to the end of time".  What a wonderful consolation and strength this promise that Jesus made to us for his followers.  Kom ihåg att Jag är med er, Ja, till tidens slut. Vilken underbar tröst och styrka löftet är som Jesus gav oss, hans följeslagare. Resten finns i brevet

Come Holy Spirit, Fill the Hearts of Your Faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created and You will renew the face of the earth. Kom Helige Ande, fyll dina trognas hjärtan och tänd i dem Din kärleks eld. Sänd ut Din Ande och vi skall bli väckta och Du skall förnya jordens ansikte.
