Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

Dear Friends,

 The awful invasion of Ukraine continues day after day. The terrible pictures of destruction and heart-breaking distress continue to fill our screens and our minds and hearts. But our prayer also continues every day for the people there and for the Russians that they will have a change of heart and stop the carnage.

 Attached is my input for the Couple Prayer and/or the Newsletter piece for next Sunday and the week following it. As always, I hope this will be helpful for you in your love relationships of marriage and family life and also as part of the faith community of the Church. You will be in my prayers each day of the week that God may bless you and all your loved ones with peace and joy and, especially through this time, with hope. Please pray for me and for one another. Thank you.

Hej allihopa,

Den har veckan säger F. Johnny till oss: "Holiness is our call, sinner is our condition, and there is no need to worry or be fearful. If you want to find Christ,  we have to learn to reverence the poor, the weak, the sinful, and the faults and failings of others and ourselves.  Helighet är vår kallelse,  syndare är vårt tillstånd, och det finns ingen anledning till oro eller rädsla. Om du vill finna Kristus, måste vi lära oss att vörda de fattiga, de svaga, de syndiga, och felen och bristerna hos andra och oss själva ". Resten finns i brevet.

Under veckan hörde jag följande utmanande ord från Fr. John Bertao.  Det är goda råd under Fastan:  Set yourself free.  Rejoice and be glad.  It is a short journey.  Make it good and make it free.  Låt dig själv vara fri.  Jubla och var glad.  Det är en kort resa.  Se till att den är god och gör dig fri.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, renew your presence in the lives of all those You have called.  Strengthen us by Your own power and give us the grace we need to know You and to love You above all things and to preach You in season and out of season. Amen  Kära Herre Jesus Kristus, förnya Din närvaro i alla som  Du har kallat.  Stärk oss med Din kraft och ge oss den nåd vi behöver att kunna känna Dig och älska Dig framför allt annat och att förkunna Dig i säsong och utanför säsong.  Amen  F. Låt oss be den här gången för våra personliga intentioner.  Herre vet vad finns i våra hjärtan och vad vi vill be för.  Låt Din vilja ske.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Vi ber för fred i Ukraina.  Herre, var med det Ukrainska folket.  Tack för det mod och den generositet de visar varandra. Vi ber att du griper in på något sätt.  Vi ber för dem som tillhör våra församlingar. Låt dem känna sig burna av våra böner. Du vet vad som finns i våra hjärtan.  Låt det inte bli värre och låt visdom och bra omdöme råda. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Vi ber för frid i hjärtat, frid i familjen och frid på jorden. Ge alla världens ledare visdom och bra omdöme.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Come Holy Spirit, Fill the Hearts of Your Faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created and You will renew the face of the earth. Kom Helige Ande, fyll dina trognas hjärtan och tänd i dem Din kärleks eld. Sänd ut Din Ande och vi skall bli väckta och Du skall förnya jordens ansikte.
