Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

Dear Friends,

Towards the beginning of this extended period of Ordinary Time the Liturgy of the Church celebrates two of the most important truths of our faith. Last Sunday we focused on the amazing mystery of the Holy Trinity, one God in Three Persons. This coming Sunday we are brought into the wonderful truth of the Eucharist in what we used to call Corpus Christi. God has come so close to us that we are constantly fed with the Body and Blood of Christ, God’s beloved Son, who is risen from the dead.

 Attached is my input for this feast as revealing to us also the intimacy of God’s love in the sacrament of marriage and the intimacy of love that is at the heart of your love in marriage and in your family life. I hope you will find inspiration as well as affirmation in the week ahead as you pray about and work on your own relationships.

 As always I will be praying for you and all your loved ones in the week ahead. Please keep me and others who will be using this resource, in your thoughts and prayers. May God bless us with an ever greater devotion to the Eucharist and to the sacrament of marriage. Thank you for your love for one another and for your families.

Hej allihopa,

Nur har vi kommit till Corpus Kristi och evangeliet handlar om fem bröd och två fiskar. Fr. Johnny skriver bland annat till oss idag:  "As God´s people we are so privileged to be fed with The Body and Blood of Christ week after week, so much that we can even take it for granted.  We have the responsibility to keep the wonder of this gift alive in us.   Som Guds folk är vi privilegierade att bli mättade med Kristi Kropp och Blod vecka efter vecka, så ofta att vi t.o.m. kan ta det för givet.  Vi har  ansvaret att behålla undret av den här gåvan vid liv i oss.  Resten finns i brevet.

Let us remember this great gift we have received from God and let us always remember to adore it and treat it with respect.  Låt oss komma ihåg den stora gåvan vi har mottagit från Gud och låt oss alltid tillbedja den och behandla den med respekt. Herre, Ukrainas folk lider så mycket, vi ber att du ingriper så att kriget i Ukraina tar slut.  Låt ingenting värre hända. Var med alla som finns i Ukraina och utanför Ukraina. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Vi ber för frid i hjärtat, frid i familjen och frid på jorden. Ge alla mänskliga och andliga  ledare visdom och bra omdöme. Ge oss bra visdom och omdöme. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Come Holy Spirit, Fill the Hearts of Your Faithful and kindle in them the fire of Your love. Send forth Your Spirit and we shall be created and You will renew the face of the earth. Kom Helige Ande, fyll dina trognas hjärtan och tänd i dem Din kärleks eld. Sänd ut Din Ande och vi skall bli väckta och Du skall förnya jordens ansikte.
