Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj

 Dear Friends

Attached please find my input for the Couple Prayer and/or the Newsletter piece for next Sunday – the Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time – and for the week following it. As always, I send this to you with a prayer in my heart that you will find it helpful for yourselves in marriage and in family life and also in your life in your faith community.

 The theme for this week is beautiful: Christ saying to us ‘You are the salt of the earth; you are the light of the world.’ That could only be said by one who is in love with us. That is what we look like through the eyes of Christ. I hope you will be able to rejoice in this in your marriage and/or your family life this week. And also I hope and pray that you will be able to see how you can grow even more into this picture in the week ahead.

 You will be in my prayers every day that God may be with you to bless you and encourage you to love ever more fully. And I pray that God may bless all those you love with joy and peace. Please continue to pray for me and for all those who will use this programme in the week ahead. Thank you.

February 5^th – 11^th A light in the darkness

Jesus said to his disciples: “You are the salt of the earth; you are the light of the world.” These extraordinary words were said to very ordinary people, and they were meant! They are being said again today to us, the present disciples of Jesus, and they are still meant! Salt is used to season food. As the Church, our task is to give a good taste to the world in which we live. Light shows the way and also brings comfort and joy. These also are our tasks for the world in which we live, and how much our world needs these at present. We do all this first and foremost through the way we live in our homes, by making our relationships there ever more alive and joyful. We also respond to Christ in our faith community by developing the Church as a welcoming community where everyone is treasured and cared for; where everyone is helped to know how much they are loved by God and how precious they are in his sight.

Hej allihopa,

Idag skriver Fr. Johnny till oss:  "You are the salt of the earth, you are the light of the world."  Salt is used to season food.  As the Church, our task is to give a good taste to the world in which we live.  Light shows the way and also gives comfort and joy.  These also are our tasks for the world in which we live, and how much our world need these at present.

 "Ni är världens salt, ni är världens ljus". Salt används för att krydda mat.  Som Kyrkan, är vårt uppdrag att ge en god smak till den världen  vi lever i.  Ljus visar vägen och ger också tröst och glädje.  Dessa är också våra uppdrag för världen vi lever i och hur mycket behöver inte världen dessa för närvarande".  Resten finns i brevet.  Herre, hjälp oss att sprida ditt ljus och din kärlek.

Herre, tack för Fr. Johnny och att han ber så mycket för oss. Han har ägnat så mycket av sitt liv för äktenskap och familj. Hjälp oss att vara lika trogna som Fr. Johnny  och gör allt vi kan för att stödja familjerna speciellt genom rörelsen Ständig Bön för Äktenskap och Familj som kan leda också till andra aktiviteter.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Idag firade Canada  Kyndelmässodagen och Fr. Couts bad: ”May the  good Lord give us that grace and that insight, the Spirit of the Lord so that we who live in darkness may have a great light and see the glory of God in ordinary things".  The Lord is my helper , I shall not be afraid.  Bible verse. Må den gode Herren ge  oss den nåden och den insikten så att vi som lever i mörkret må få ett stor ljus och se Guds härlighet i vanliga saker". Herren är min hjälpare, jag skall inte vara rädd.-Bibel citat. 

Jag kommer ihåg en psalm som har försvunnit från Cecilia "Herren är min hjälpare som skapade Himmel och jord".  Jag tyckte om den psalmen.

Kriget i Ukraina fortsätter och det känns förfärligt. Herre, var med alla Ukrainare.  Låt det här eländet snart ta slut.  Tack Herre att många länder fortsätter att stödja Ukraina på olika sätt. Vi ber för frid i hjärtat, frid i familjen och frid på jorden. Ge alla världens ledare, båda andliga och världsliga, visdom och bra omdöme.  Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.

Fyll varje hem med Din kärlek, Må vart och ett av våra hem blid en plats fylld av Din närvaro, en källa som förmedlar Din frid. . Bönehäftet  Må vi börja med oss själva.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithfuland. Kindle in them the fire of Your love.  Send forth your spirit and we shall be created and You will renew the face of the earth.   Kom Helige Ande, fyll dina trognas hjärtan och tänd i dem Din kärleks eld.  Sänd ut Din ande och vi skall bli väckta och Du skall förnya jordens ansikte.
