Veckobrev The Feast of The Holy Family
Dear Friends,
We are now getting very close to the great celebration of Christmas and in this input for the Couple Prayer and the Newsletter piece we look beyond it to the Feast of the Holy Family. This is where the mystery of the Incarnation is first lived in our world – in the family life of Mary and Joseph. In this setting Christ grows in knowledge and wisdom and is prepared for his mission to the world of proclaiming the wonderful good news of God’s love for all people, especially for those who are last in human reckoning.
This setting of Christ within family life is very significant for us today because that continues to be one of the main places where Christ lives today – in your homes and among you as a family. I hope you will find the attached input helpful in looking at this reality in your own home and in your relationships of marriage and family life.
You will be in my prayers each day of next week as always. May God be with you to bless you and all your loved ones with joy and peace. And may you have a very happy Christmas on Saturday and in the days beyond it. Please continue to pray for me and for one another.

Jesus Mary and Joseph, in you we contemplate the splendour of true love, to you we turn with trust. Holy family of Nazareth, grant that our families too may be places of communion and prayer and authentic schools of the gospel and small domestic churches. Holy Family of Nazareth may families never again experience violence, rejection and division.
May all who have been hurt or scandalized find ready comfort and healing. Holy family of Nazareth make us once more mindful of the inviolability of the family and its beauty in God´s plan.
Jesus Mary and Joseph, graciously hear our prayer.
Jesus, Maria och Josef, i dig kontemplerar vi glansen av genuin kärlek, till dig vänder vi oss med förtröstan. Heliga Familjen av Nasaret, må våra familjer också vara platser av gemenskap, bön och genuina evangelieskolor och små huskyrkor. Heliga Familjen av Nasaret må familjer aldrig mer erfara våld, avvisande och splittring. Må alla som har blivit sårade eller skandaliserade finna beredvillig tröst och helande. Heliga Familjen av Nasaret, gör oss mer medvetna om familjens okränkbarhet och Guds vackra intentioner för den.
Herre, Förlåt all ont som har hänt under det här året och vänd
det åt rätt håll.
För några veckor sedan bad vi för T som har cancer, får cellgiftsbehandling och mår väldigt dåligt. Vi Överlämnar T till dig och ber att du ger henne hopp. Led all sjukhuspersonal som har hand om henne. Hela henne till kropp och själ. Låt henne inte känna sig ensam under den här tiden. Låt henne känna att vi ber för henne och att du är med henne. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Fill every home with your love. May each of our homes be
places of your presence and sources of your peace. Fyll varje
hem med Din kärlek. Må vart och ett av våra hem bli en plats
fylld av Din närvaro, en källa som förmedlar Din frid. Fr.

Veckobrev Advent 4
Dear Friends,
Attached please find my input for the fourth week of Advent. This brings us up to Christmas Day. It is hard to believe that we are that close to the great feast. I hope you will find this input helpful for yourselves and for your family life in the week ahead.
Mary is very central to this coming week. She helps us to remember what Christmas is about and how to prepare for it and to live it afterwards. Make her central in your own life this week and also central in your home. It would be a very good week to pray the Rosary together if you do not do this regularly. And through the Rosary to experience the power of God’s love transforming your love for one another as couples and/or as families.
I will be in touch with you again next week. In the meantime I will be praying for you each day. May God be with you to fill you with joy and peace. And may God keep you and all your loved ones safe from harm and close to one another.

Vi har tänt Hoppets Ljus, Förberedelsens Ljus, Glädjens Ljus och den här söndagen tänder vi Kärlekens Ljus. Love one another because love is from God and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. Älska varandra, ty kärleken kommer från Gud, och den som älskar är född av Gud känner Gud. Johannes 4. Så började mässan på dailytvmass.com i Canada imorse.
Dagens evangelium handlar om "The Visitation". Jag älskar den
berättelsen. Maria tänkte inte på sig själv men med glädje åkte
hon till sin kusin Elisabeth och de båda två gladdes tillsammans.
Sedan har vi den underbara bönen Magnificat. Låt oss följa
Maria fram till Jesus födelsen i Bethlehem.
Fr. Johnny skriver bland annat till oss idag: The first thing Mary
teaches us is that Christmas is primarily about Christ. The
second thing Mary teaches us about Christmas is that it is about
Christ´s extreme love for us as we are. Första saken Maria lär
oss är att Jul handlar först och främst om Kristus. Den andra saken
Maria lär oss om Jul är att det handlar om Kristus väldiga kärlek
för oss som vi är. Resten finns i brevet.
Herre, vi ber för dem som har olika typer av äktenskapsproblem.
Du vet allt. Många försöker skapa en fridfull situation under Jul
inte minst för barnens skull. Vaka över dem Herre och låt
ingen komma till skada. Låt det vara ett försök till
försoning. Vi ber speciellt för dem vi har bett för under året.
Jungfru Maria, Jesus mor och vår mor var med dem. Jesus Heliga
Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Bön behövs särskilt för en familj som separerades för några
veckor sedan. Vi har tidigare bett för dem. Paret mår väldigt
dåligt och barnen också. Där finns en viss känsla av kaos
ifamiljen. Det yngsta barnet har vänt sig mot sin Mamma och han mår
extremt dåligt av situationen. Jag ber dig Herre att du griper
in och ger barnet frid och hindra honom från att skada sig själv.
Vi överlämnar paret och familjen till dig. Du vet hur var och
en känner sig. Vi ber att du griper in och hjälper familjen att
kunna prata och förstå varandra. Hjälp paret att kunna
kommunicera med varandra och så småningom kunna förlåta varandra
och om möjligt återförenas. Låt dem känna sig burna av våra
böner. Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Herre var med alla de sjuka, alla som är ensamma, alla immigranter, alla som lider. Låt ditt ljus skina över hela världen. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på Dig.
Vi ber för frid i hjärtat, frid i familjen och frid på jorden.
Kom Jesus Kristus. Kom in i våra hjärtan. Kom till Hela världen.

Dear Friends,
We are now moving into the second half of Advent. I hope it is proving a good time for yourselves and all your loved ones. I like this season as we set the scene for another year of faith and of following Christ.
The attached reflection for the Couple Prayer and the Newsletter piece gives us a very important question for our own lives today: “What must we do”. As you reflect on your marriage and family life during the coming week it is a great question to guide you in your love for one another. I will be praying for you each day that you will discover more and more of the richness that is in your love and in your family life as well as in your faith in Jesus Christ.
There is such an abundance for us to discover and to live with joy and celebration. May God be with you each step of the way to inspire you with generosity with one another. May God also keep you and all your loved ones safe from the viruses that are crippling our society and our freedom. Please continue to pray for me and for one another .

Hej Allihopa,
Det gör lite ont i hjärtat att inte kunna delta i Mässan eftersom
jag har fått en infektion i kroppen. Jag har testat för Covid och
läkaren säger att det förmodligen inte är Covid men jag måste
isolera mig tills jag får svaret på måndag. Jag är tacksam för
internet och har kunnat följa Mässan på dailytvmass.com även om
det inte är detsamma.
Nu har vi kommit till tredje veckan i Advent och vi tänder Glädjens Ljus. I Canada på dailytvmass.com rekommenderar de oss att be följande bön med St. Johannes Paulus under veckan: Mary, most holy, Woman of the Eucharist and Virgin of Advent encourage us as we wait for the Lord, sharing our time and energy with those in need, and prepare us all to joyfully welcome Christ´s coming and worthily celebrate his sacramental presence in the mystery of the Eucharist. Maria, mest helig, Kvinnan av Eukaristin och Jungfrun av Advent, uppmuntra oss medan vi väntar på Herren, delar vår tid och energi med dem i behov, och förbereder oss alla att med glädje välkomna Kristus när han kommer och värdigt firar hans sakramentala närvaro i Eukaristins mysterium.
Den här veckan ger Fr. Johnny oss ett sund råd. Det sista han säger är "And for all of us, what we must do is put Christ at the heart of Christmas and have a wonderful time. Och för oss alla, vad vi måste göra är låta Kristus vara i hjärtat av Jul och ha en underbar tid. Resten finns i brevet. Herre, vi tackar dig för Fr. Johnny. Var med honom i allt han gör. Jag har nyss hört ett program om alla immigranter från Syd
Amerika. Var med alla som vandrar i hopp om att få ett
bättre liv. Jag kan inte ord men jag ber dig Herre att gripa
in och göra något. Ge oss bra ledare i världen med
sunt förnuft och medkänsla. Jesus Heliga Hjärta, vi litar på
Dig.

Veckobrev Advent 3
Dear Friends,
One of the great insights of our Catholic practice is that we are constantly making a fresh start. We mark this each day by the practice of a prayer first thing in the morning and last thing at night. We celebrate it each week through the Sunday Eucharist and Sunday observance of this being a special day for all that is important in our relationships. And we begin again each year with Advent, as we set our sights on Christ coming to us as our Redeemer at the end of time and we renew our commitment to follow him for the year ahead beginning with his birth in Bethlehem at Christmas. God is with us.
Attached is my input for the Couple Prayer and Newsletter piece for the Second week of Advent. I hope you will find it helpful for yourselves in your journey towards each other and together towards Christ. Vi har redan kommit till Andra Söndagen i Advent och Fr.
Johnny skriver följande till oss. We constantly need to
make a fresh start, again and again, in our relationships
with God and with one another in our homes and in our parish
communities. Vi behöver kontinuerligt göra en ny
början igen och igen i våra relationer med Gud och med
varandra i våra hem och i våra församlingar. Resten

On the second Sunday of Advent, we light the Hope againand
then we light the Preparation
candle. First, hope blooms as we realize the prophecies
about the Messiah are true. Then we begin to prepare our
hearts to receive the Lord Jesus. På andra veckan i Advent
tänder vi Hoppets Ljus igen och sedan tänder vi Förberedelsens Ljus.
Först blomstrar hoppet och vi blir medvetna om att
förutsägelserna om Messias är Sanna. Sedan börjar vi
förbereda våra hjärtan att ta emot Herren Jesus.
Vi ber för frid i hjärtat, frid i familjen och frid på
jorden.

Veckobrev Advent 1
Dear Friends,
Happy New Year!! It seems strange to say that in November but the truth is that this is the beginning of a new year of faith in our following of Christ. It can be the same as last year. Or we can make it different by building on what we have achieved in the past year and grow in love for one another in marriage and family life and in our commitment to our faith community.
Through the Liturgy of the Sunday Mass week by week we are enabled to journey with Christ in this birth, life, death and resurrection and then to his sending the Holy Spirit to form us as the Church for today and tomorrow. It can be an exciting journey. Or it can be one in which we feel burdened especially by the demands of love for one another and for God in and through Christ. We can make a resolution at the beginning of this year to make it an exciting one for one another and for all those we love.
Thank you for all your kindness and love in the past year. Be assured of my prayers for you every day in the year ahead. It is such a privilege to be on this journey with you. may God bless you and all those you love. May God keep all of us safe through this difficult and dangerous time.

Der är Advent igen och i morse hörde jag på dailytvmass.com: Advent reminds us that we have to remember the story of Jesus again and that memory of love becomes the ground of our hope. Advent påminner oss att vi måste komma ihåg historien om Jesus igen och denna påminnelse av kärlek blir grunden till vårt hopp.
Den här veckan skriver Fr. Johnny till oss: This year we begin a new year in the journey of our faith with Christ. It is an opportunity to have confidence once again in his presence and in us, and his power in us. Detta år börjar vi ett nytt år i vår resa av tro med Kristus. Det är en chans att på nytt ha tillit till hans närvaro och i oss och hans kraft i oss. Resten finns i brevet.
Nyligen hörde jag vad var viktigt att satsa på i livet 1. Gud 2. Vår relation till Gud. 3. Hustru och man. 4. Barn. 5. Allt annat. Herre, hjälp oss att prioritera rätt.
Vi måste fortsätta att be för den kvinna som har blivit
psykiskt misshandlad under en längre tid. Han har inte
gjort vad han har lovat och hans beteende har blivit värre. Hon
känner sig väldigt rädd. Hon har bestämt sig för att lämna honom.
Herre du vet hur mycket lidande det finns i den här
situationen. Vi ber att du griper in och låt ingen komma till
skada, speciellt barnet. De har ett möte var för sig med
familjerätten imorgon. Låt din Ande leda mötet och Din vilja
ske. Låt kvinnan känna sig buren av våra böner.
Inspirera hennes man att söka hjälp för sin aggressivitet.
